TORC & DOFF cleaning

We use the best machines in the industry – the DOFF and the TORC.

 

We operate from self-contained vans, so a power or water supply is never an issue and are fully trained on and use the best machines in the industry – the DOFF and the TORC. Unlike other steam system/pressure washer systems, these can achieve temperatures of 150°C.

DOFF systems are only available from the manufacturers, Stone Health, and their expertise and systems are the first choice for architects and building maintenance professionals. Our DOFF system uses steam/super-heated water and will remove:

​​

  • Paint coatings

  • Certain types of graffiti

  • Bird or vermin fouling

  • Algae, moss, fungi

  • Grease

  • Oil

  • Chewing Gum

  • Other biological matter and will also kill spores

  • Wax coatings

 

There is no need to use a chemical biocide during the removal process or as a protection against further biological matter.

 

Our TORC system – a very light abrasive system – removes:

​​

  • Carbon sulphating

  • Lime & cement-based paints

  • Paint residues

  • Some old oil based paints

  • Bitumen

  • Lime scale

 

This does not damage the ‘patina’ of the stone we are working on.
